The workshops can focus on stress in the workplace, more general lifestyle stress, or a combination of the two. The causes and symptoms of stress will be looked at, along with specific techniques and strategies for relieving stress. Nutrition What you eat has a direct affect on how you feel and on your productivity. If you cant get through the day without endless cups of coffee or suffer a big energy crash after lunch, then the chances are youre eating the wrong kinds of food! Our nutrition workshops include practical tips and dietary advice that can be incorporated into your everyday life. Improving your concentration and enhancing your energy levels through diet are just 2 of the topics covered. Posture/Back care Musculoskeletal disorders (including back problems) are one of the most common forms of ill health at work. However, many back problems can be prevented or minimised by good posture and sitting correctly. This workshop will educate the individual on correct posture and workstation use. This workshop provides the ideal compliment to our workstation assessments. It is a great opportunity for employees to learn why correct workstation set-up and posture are so important. Desk-based exercises This workshop equips the individual with a programme of simple exercises and stretches, all of which can be done in the office environment either at or next to your desk! The exercises will help you to feel more alert and prevent pain and stiffness from developing. Many of the exercises are modifications of Pilates and Physiotherapy exercises and they will help to prevent the build up of tension in the upper body that so many desk workers experience. |
